He is licensed to sell health insurance in Arizona, California, Florida, New Mexico, Ohio, Texas, and Utah.

When not advocating for clients, Derek is an avid mountain hiker, often found on Picacho Peak or Blackett's Ridge. He lives in Tucson, Arizona.
